Dr. Kris Minnich has practiced small animal veterinary medicine for more than 10 years and offers an array of services, such as laser surgery, digital radiology, internal medicine, and grooming. Dr. Kris believes in providing clients and his patients with quality, compassionate, leading edge veterinary care. Dr. Kris Minnich is originally from Sarasota, Florida where he graduated from Riverview High School. He studied undergraduate at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, where he majored in Animal Health Technology. Dr. Kris received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in 2001 after completing his clinical training at the University of Missouri. Dr. Kris moved back to Florida in 2005 and worked locally for 4 years before opening his own practice. He is a member of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. In his spare time Dr. Kris enjoys fishing, attending Tampa Bay Rays baseball games, coaching Little League baseball, and spending time with his family and pets. His wife, Stacy, works alongside him as his practice manager. They have 3 dogs at home: Lilly, Jackson & Cj.
Dr.Schleenbaker is a Florida native new to the North Port area from Gainesville, FL. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her clinical training at the University of Florida. Prior to veterinary school, she attended the University of South Florida for her undergraduate degree in Biology and worked for the University of Florida as a veterinary technician for several years. Lauren is excited to be part of the Toledo Blade Animal Clinic team. Her interests include preventative care and dentistry for cats and dogs, and caring for smaller pets such as rabbits and pocket pets. Lauren is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Florida Veterinary Medical Association. When Lauren is not busy at the clinic, she enjoys outdoor activities and spending time at the beach with her fiancé Joe. At home they have two dogs, Charlie and Katana, and a cat, Zack.
